Katrina and the Waves surf a sea of raw, unadulterated joy in their glorious, vitamin D-rich tribute to the weather; shiny one-hit-wonder "Walking on Sunshine." With its catchy bridge ("walking on sunshine") the song's lyrics remain simple yet sunnily effective: "I used to think maybe you loved me, now, baby, I'm sure / And I just can't wait 'till the day when you knock on my door / Now every time I go for the mailbox, gotta hold myself down /'Cause I just can't wait 'till you write me you're coming around," beam the British-American band, capturing that jittery, butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling experienced during the first flush of love. "Walking on Sunshine" was the title track of 'Katrina and the Waves' 1983 eponymous debut album and joins the richly varied canon of modern pop songs about the sun from "Blister in the Sun" by Violent Femmes to "Waiting for the Sun" by The Doors.

The first one you come across is a little lower than the original key, but it's still a great backing track. :)

Easy fix...run it thru the tempo adjustment on Audacity...sounds like it needs about 6-7%.

The tempo is slower than the original making the song drag a bit
