"Dreaming My Dreams with You" is a song by country artist Waylon Jennings from his 1975 album Dreaming My Dreams. At the time of the recording, Jennings had recently negotiated with RCA Records for full artistic control. He started growing a beard and letting his hair grow, a reflection of outlaw movement. Jennings co-produced “Dreaming My Dreams with You” with Jack Clement, a fellow non-conformist. Clement believed great records were best recorded with spontaneity. He liked to record the band playing live in the studio without headphones. No idea was too unusual. Years earlier, he’d produced Johnny Cash's #1, "Ring of Fire”, and even came up with the mariachi horn part.
