"Fuck You Tonight" is one of the smoother and R&B-inclined songs on Life After Death, the second, final and seminal album from the late legendary rapper The Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie, born Christopher George Latore Wallace. The track, which features R Kelly – who in 2022 was sentenced to 30 years in prison for racketeering and sex offender charges – sits as the sixth track on the sprawling, posthumous double album, which was released sixteen days after the murder of Biggie and features collaborations with a glittering array of guests including Jay-Z, Lil' Kim, Mase, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Too $hort, Angela Winbush, D.M.C. of Run-D.M.C., The Lox, and Puff Daddy. Life After Death was nominated for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Solo Performance for its first landmark single "Hypnotize," and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for its second single "Mo Money Mo Problems" at the 40th Annual Grammy Awards in 1998.
