Misfits swap horror movies for action flicks in the 1975 B-side to their formative 1975 single, "Night of the Living Dead." Taking its title from the classic 1968 British-American war film, which was directed by Brian G. Huttonand starred Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood, and Mary Ure (although probably bearing no direct resemblance to its WW2 subject-matter) "Where Eagles Dare" was written by frontman and vocalist Glenn Danzig, while he was still part of the band, and features one of the punk rock genre's most indelible lyrics etched into its impossibly catchy chorus (“I ain’t no goddamn son of a bitch / You better think about it, baby"), as well as more colourful descriptions ("The omelet of disease awaits your noontime meal / Her mouth of germicide, seducing all your glands.") Various versions of "Where Eagles Dare" were included on the Misfits compilation albums Legacy of Brutality (1985) and Misfits (1986) while the track is still regarded as one of their best.
