"I Have a Dream" was ABBA's sixth single from their incredibly successful sixth album Voulez-Vous, released in 1978. In "I Have a Dream," Anni-Frid Lyngstad performs lead vocals, while the song was written and produced by fellow ABBA members Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. The track is a conventional 1970s Europop track with several baroque elements and an inspirational chorus. The song's themes deal with persistent hope and perseverance through difficult times. A Swedish children's choir sings the final chorus, encapsulating the song's angelic atmosphere. "I Have a Dream" reached number 1 in six countries, as well as number 2 in the UK and Ireland and number 3 in South Africa. The single, rather than being released as a 45 RPM seven-inch record, was released in a deluxe gatefold and distributed as a souvenir for attendees of an ABBA concert at the Wembley football stadium.
