The word 'tush' means many things to many people but for bearded hard rockers ZZ Top it's all about the double entendre; "I been bad, I been good / Dallas, Texas, Hollywood I ain't asking for much / I said, Lord, take me downtown / I'm just looking for some tush," shrieks lead singer Billy Gibbons on this plucky twelve-bar blues jam that tips its hat both to the slang for buttocks and the Texas slang for 'luxurious.' This blues-rock heater was allegedly cooked up during a whirlwind ten-minute sound check and was the only single on ZZ Top’s fourth album Fandango!.” Believe it or not, "Tush" reached Number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and it also happens to be one of the ZZ Top songs on the album that was sung by the band's late bassist Dusty Hill – who passed away in 2021 – and would traditionally function as the last song of their live sets.
