Van Halen are in need of some medical attention on 1979 song and fan favorite "Somebody Get Me a Doctor," which is the third song on their second album, Van Halen II and sees the band – comprised at the time of Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, vocalist David Lee Roth and bassist/vocalist Michael Anthony – high on life. "You better call me a doctor / Feelin' no pain / Overloaded, down the drain / Somebody get me a doctor / You better call up the ambulance, I'm deep in shock / Overloaded, baby, I can hardly walk / Somebody get me a doctor / Somebody get me a doctor," cries out the one-and-only David Lee Roth, who tops his demands with glass-shattering falsetto yelps and howls. The track also boasts what is considered to be among Eddie Van Halen's top guitar solos; a wild, unstoppable ride that reminds of the Pasadena, California band's unrivalled place in the hard rock canon.
