"Oh, Pretty Woman" is a song by American pop singer Roy Orbison. The song was written by the artist and his long-time collaborator Bill Dees. The two were trying to come up with a song at Orbison's home. The singer suggested that Dees try to write anything that popped into his mind. Orbison's wife was leaving for some errands and he asked if she needed any money. Dees joked, "Pretty woman don't need any money." Orbison immediately started singing, "Pretty Woman, walking down the street.” The two finished writing the song on a Friday, recorded it the next Friday, and it was racing up the charts to #1 the following Friday. "Oh, Pretty Woman" went on to sell seven million copies.
