Miley Cyrus's version of "Nothing Else Matters" is the lead single from The Metallica Blacklist project. Metallica invited over 50 artists to cover their songs with the profits from the album split among the artists' favorite charities and Metallica's All Within My Hands Foundation. Cyrus may have started out as a kid on Disney's Hannah Montana but she has matured into a serious recording artist. For her version of "Nothing Else Matters" she invited a diversified group of friends, Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, producer WATT, and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, to join her on her cover. Her dark, husky voice is a perfect fit for the song. Other artists included on the cover album are Weezer, Jason Isbell, the Neptunes, and St. Vincent.
