Girl Crush - Little Big Town - MP3 instrumental karaoke

When songwriter Lori McKenna saw #girlcrush on Instagram she didn’t quite know what it meant but thought it sounded like an interesting idea for a song. She met up with co-writers Hillary Lindsay and Liz Rose and as soon as she mentioned the title, Lindsay came up with the first four lines on the spot. That hashtag about a non-romantic crush on another woman became “Girl Crush” the song. When it was played for the country group Little Big Town they knew they had to record it. Singer Karen Fairchild told Rolling Stone she’d never heard a jealousy song like “Girl Crush” with the twist being that the singer is jealous of the woman who’s now with her ex. The song went on to win Single of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2015 CMA Awards and two Grammys.
