Mary, Did You Know? - Cee Lo Green - MP3 instrumental karaoke

The Christmas classic "Mary, Did You Know?" was written by Mark Lowry in 1984. Lyrically speaking, the song features a fictional conversation with the Virgin Mary, which evolved from a series of questions Lowry wrote for a Christmas program at his local church. After composer Buddy Greene added music to the words in 1991, American Christian artist Michael English (who toured with Lowry and Greene as part of the Gaither Vocal Band) recorded the first version of the song later that year. Upon its release, the original version reached Number 6 on CCM Magazine's Adult Contemporary Chart. In the years that followed, the track was covered by a plethora of well-known musicians, including country legends Kenny Rogers and Wynona Judd, American Idol alumni Clay Aiken, and singer and rapper Cee Lo Green, who included it in his 2012 Christmas album Cee Lo's Magic Moment. Considerably slower than the original, Cee Lo Green's version peaked at Number 9 on the US R&B charts and was used during the closing credits to the 2014 film Son of God.
