Kelly Clarkson is feeling more than a little Christmassy on "Underneath the Tree," her big band-style holiday pop confection from 2013. Featured on the star's sixth studio album and first Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, this festive fancy made it into the Top 10 in Austria, the Netherlands, Canada and Lithuania as well as the Top 20 in Germany, Ireland, Slovakia, Switzerland, and at home in the US. Written by Kelly Clarkson with a little help from celebrated US producer Greg Kurstin, "Underneath the Tree" paints an evocative vision of Christmas, peaking in the picture-perfect chorus: "You're here where you should be / Snow is falling as the carolers sing / It just wasn't the same / Alone on Christmas day / Presents, what a beautiful sight / Don't mean a thing if you ain't holding me tight / You're all that I need / Underneath the tree." The song, which also weaves in sleigh bells and bell chimes, was one of five original tunes written for Wrapped in Red.
