"Ramblin' Gamblin' Man" hitmaker Bob Seger was a vital mouthpiece for working-class Americans and was quite rightly inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012. In 1978, he released what became a stone-cold classic rock staple, "Old Time Rock & Roll," which was featured on his epic tenth studio album Stranger in Town (his second with the Silver Bullet Band) as the follow-up to 1976's Night Moves. Written by George Jackson and Thomas E. Jones III, "Old Time Rock & Roll" made an appearance in various TV shows and movies over the tears, including 1983 teen sex comedy Risky Business as well as showing up in episodes of The Nanny, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, South Park, Scrubs and The Flash. In 2021, it was even used for a Domino's commercial to promote contactless delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic.
