"Whiskey and You" is a song recorded by Aaron Lewis for his second solo album Sinner. The song was co-written by Chris Stapleton and included on Traveler which was 2015's CMA Album of the Year. But before that, when Stapleton was known mainly as a songwriter, Tim McGraw cut it for his 2007 album Let it Go. The song examines the downward spiral of addiction, knowing the cost of continuing to drink but being unable to stop. "I've got a problem / But it ain't like what you think / I drink because I'm lonesome / And I'm lonesome 'cause I drink." The song is a perfect fit for Lewis' raw and expressive voice. The singer started as the frontman of the platinum selling rock band Staind but has had a successful country career for the last ten years.
The backing track for "Whiskey and You" is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.
