"The lyric more or less wrote itself. It was very free-flowing, very autobiographical. It was just waiting to be written", David Coverdale told Louder Sound in 2018. Built on a bed of majestic organ, galloping drums from David Doyle and a searing guitar solo, "Walking in the Shadow of the Blues" is one of the more bluesy offerings on Lovehunter but still rocks... hard.
