This folk-rock tale of two challenge-stricken lovers and their getaway plan struck a chord with a generation of music fans. The track experienced significant commercial success, winning Tracy Chapman the Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance as well as sweeping up numerous chart victories, helped along by her iconic appearance at the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute concert.
