"All aboard! All aboard! / Tickets please, tickets Well, you coming?," shouts the conductor at the start of "The Polar Express" – the energetic, scene-setting title track of the animated gem's soundtrack, performed by Tom Hanks who stars in multiple roles in the film. Robert Zemeckis's 2004 Christmas musical adventure The Polar Express is a computer-animated fantasy based on the 1985 children's book of the same name by Chris Van Allsburg, and follows a group children on a mysterious train journey to the North Pole to visit Santa Claus. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA in November 2007 with "Believe," written by Glen Ballard and Alan Silvestri, receiving a Grammy Award in the category Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media at the ceremony held in February 2006. It was also given a nod at the Oscars, nominated for Best Original Song at the 77th Academy Awards in February 2005, with Josh Groban and Beyoncé performing the song during the awards broadcast. It doesn't get much more magical than that.
