"Stairway to Heaven" is a song recorded by the O'Jays for their 1975 album Family Reunion. Although it has the same title, it's not the same song as Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven." But, just like the Zeppelin classic, the O'Jay's "Stairway to Heaven" has been open to a lot of lyrical interpretations. Many interpret the song as reaching a heavenly height of romance while others play the song at funerals as a heavenly sendoff. Either way, the song was beautifully produced by Philly Soul hitmakers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Family Reunion contained one of the O'Jays' biggest hits, "I Love Music."
