One of the staples of the early Motown repertoire, "Who's Lovin' You" is a soul song written by William "Smokey" Robinson. It was originally recorded by rhythm and blues vocal group The Miracles in 1960 and was later covered countless times by several artists such as The Temptations, The Supremes, and The Jackson 5, who are often credited with further popularizing the song, setting the blueprint for most future versions. Released as a B-side to The Jackson 5's first single "I Want You Back" (1969) the backing track was laid down at Hitsville U.S.A.'s recording studio in Detroit and featured instrumentation by a group of session musicians known as the Funk Brothers. With a young Michael Jackson on lead vocals and siblings Marlon, Tito, Jermaine, and Jackie as backup singers, The Jackson 5 took the ball and ran with it, imbuing the song with plenty of youthful energy and innocent charm. In 1969, The Jackson 5 performed their rendition of "Who's Lovin' You" on their first Ed Sullivan Show appearance.
