The Blues Brothers opened their Briefcase Full of Blues in 1978 and soared to the summit of the Billboard 200, going double platinum, and eventually logging one of the highest-selling blues albums of all time. The debut LP from the legendary duo comprising Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, who formed as part of a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live, is packed full of sizzling vintage blues and soul covers, including B-Movie Boxcar Blues,” which serve as a dedication to blue-eyed soul man Curtis Salgado; the inspiration behind John Belushi's Blues Brothers characters. B-Movie Boxcar Blues was written by "Tell Me About It" hit-maker and four-time Grammy winner Delbert McClinton, one half of Texan pair Delbert & Glen, and released on their self-titled album in 1972. The Blues Brothers' interpretation of the song features a burst of harmonica from Dan Aykroyd and cool, freewheeling guitar from Matt Murphy and Steve Cropper.
