Atlanta-based soulful country-pop purveyor Teddy Swims burned a hole in the 2021 pop ether with his fiery, flaming tale of romance, "Bed on Fire." Co-written with Dallas Davidson, Adonijah Cartwright, Kyle Fishman and producer Julilan Bunetta, the soul-powered "Bed on Fire" lays out the kind of intense passion that can strike fear into your heart. "So if you're gonna leave, leave me / In the middle of the night / Set the bed on fire / Set the bed on fire," sings Teddy Swims in the chorus, with the bridge evoking a kind of spellbinding, paralyzing love. "Don't drag it out, don't hang around / Don't take your time, don't twist the knife / Don't let me see, just let me dream," he continues. Released in July 2021, Teddy Swims's "Bed on Fire" follows the US singer-songwriter's 2020 remix of his hit single "Broke," which featured vocals from country star Thomas Rhett.
