Black Magic Woman / Gypsy Queen - Santana - MP3 instrumental karaoke

Although a huge hit for Santana, "Black Magic Woman" was actually written by British musician and Fleetwood Mac founder Peter Green and made its foray as a Fleetwood Mac single two years prior. The original blues-rock song was featured on the 1969 Fleetwood Mac compilation albums English Rose (US) and The Pious Bird of Good Omen (UK), as well as the later Greatest Hits and Vintage Years compilations and reached Number 37 on the UK Singles Chart. When Santana decided to sprinkle their magic over the song in 1970 – weaving in Latin rhythms and touches and with vocals from Santana keyboard player Gregg Rolie (who left the band to join Journey in 1973) – "Black Magic Woman" climbed to Number 4 on the US and Canadian charts. The song was featured on Santana's second studio album Abraxas, (1970) which was their first LP to top the charts in the US and also spawned a hit in their version of "King of Latin Jazz" Tito Puente's "Oye Como Va."
