There are some songs that are immediately tied to their iconic music videos. Addicted to Love,” Robert Palmer’s song off the 1985 album Riptide, is one of them. The song, which straddles the line between blues and glam rock combined with mid-80s pop arrangements, is forever paired with its iconic music video: the image of Robert Palmer singing in front of a band made up of stone-faced, mannequin-like female models became an enduring pop culture reference point. Addicted to Love'' was originally intended as a duet with singer Chaka Khan, who had to drop out of the recording sessions due to a record label dispute. Duran Duran’s Andy Taylor provides the song’s distinctive lead guitar. Addicted to Love is the third track on Riptide, and was released as the album’s second single in February 1986. The song peaked at Number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming Robert Palmer’s signature song and inspiring cover versions by artists such as Tina Turner.

Sounds spot on to the original. Best version I've found out there.

love the fact that as a female vocalist I can change the key and crank it up!
