The honky-tonk classic "I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love with You)" was written and recorded by country legend Hank Williams in March 1951. Like many songs in his catalog, it perfectly describes the nature of heartbreak using simple yet poetic language. The track was recorded at Castle Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, and features his backing band The Drifting Cowboys. It was released as a single on April 25, 1951, as the B-side to "Howlin' at the Moon," but it quickly outperformed the latter by reaching Number 2 on the Billboard Country Singles chart.
