Parliament sent out a sprawling funk transmission driven by abstract chatter, liquid bass from Boosty Collins, simmering horns from Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley and piano from Bernie Worrell. The opening track of their otherworldy 1975 album Mothership Connection, "P. Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up)" was also released as the B-side of the LP's second single, "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off the Sucker)." The track lays out the album's concept via an alien broadcast from 'the Mothership' with George Clinton taking up residence as an interplanetary DJ, Sir Lolipop Man aka The Long-Haired Sucka: "Good evening / Do not attempt to adjust your radio, there is nothing wrong / We have taken control as to bring you this special show / We will return it to you as soon as you are grooving," he begins. The weirdly wonderful track reached number 33 on the US R&B chart and proved to be rich sample fodder, with both Dr. Dre and Ice Cube lifting parts from the song for their tracks "The Roach (The Chronic Outro)" and "Say Hi to the Bad Guy."

Just what I was looking for. The sound quality is great, vocals are clear and bps are just right.
