A blood-curdling scream and heavy guitar riffage sound the alarm on "Not Falling," one of Mudvayne's best-selling tunes and the first single from the band's second full-length studio album, The End of All Things to Come. The Illinois alt-metal titans descended on the world in 1996 and announced their major-label debut in 2000 with full-length LP L.D. 50. Released two years later, “Not Falling” is an empowerment anthem about "not falling down" and trusting in your own inner strength. The song was accompanied by an arresting video that depicts the band as eerie-looking insect-like creatures with white eyes. Fittingly, the track and video were duly featured in the 2002 supernatural horror Ghost Ship, which was directed by Steve Beck and featured A-listers such as Gabriel Byrne and Julianna Margulies. The End of All Things to Come introduced progressive rock elements into the band's metal palette and was certified gold by the RIAA in 2003.
