The title itself also references her newfound motherhood. "Mother" opens Meghan Trainor's fifth major-label studio album Takin' It Back with a bang, burying itself in your skull with the help of the Kris Jenner assisted music video. Takin' It Back flew to number 16 on the Billboard 200 and became Meghan Trainor's highest-charting album since her second major-label studio album, Thank You, in 2016.
