"Up" is a song by Luke Bryan from the deluxe edition of Born Here Live Here Die Here. In a press release Bryan says the song checks all the boxes for a country song, " It talks about what I love and what's dear to me. About my home and my faith." The clever lyric pairs the song's title with different words to create different meanings throughout the song. Starting with "up early" and "crankin' that tractor up" the song paints a picture of rural farm life; one lived with hard work, simple things, and faith. "Keepin’ that faith, waitin’ on the day he calls us up" The video for "Up" takes place in a barn where Bryan is watching old home videos, including clips of his father, his late brother, and his sons. Bryan called the experience overwhelming, saying he couldn't be more proud of the song and how the video turned out.
