Lamb of God go straight for the jugular with "Laid to Rest", the thrashy, 2004 groove metal hit that helped to catalpult the band's career into a whole new stratosphere. Ashes of the Wake was a commercial and critical success for the band, rising to Number 27 on the Billboard 200 and becoming one of Lamb of God's best-selling records to date, achieving a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America in February 2016.
