Hailing from New Hartford, New York, Joe Bonamassa is a peerless blues guitarist who famously opened for B.B. King when he was just twelve years old. Since then, he has developed a fiery, unstoppable style of playing demonstrated across a stack of chart-topping US blues albums. As far as blues standards go, "Let the Good Times Roll" is the perfect example of a rollicking, festive number with an easy-on-the-ear sound that invokes the party. The jump blues song was written in 1946 by Sam Theard, a New Orleans-born blues singer and songwriter, and was co-credited to his wife Fleecie Moore, but popularised by Louis Jordan and his Tympany Five in 1946. This seamless version from Joe Bonamassa, "Let The Good Times Roll (live at the Greek Theatre)," was recorded on 29 August 2015 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and included on the Live at the Greek Theatre LP and DVD in 2016. "Let The Good Times Roll (live at the Greek Theatre)" sits on the second side of the release.
