Jimmy Cliff's sunshine-drenched pop-reggae stunner "I Can See Clearly Now" is a beacon of positivity that lit up the charts in 1993 and has never stopped spreading joy. "Here is that rainbow I've been praying for", beamed the Jamaican star, celebrating the "bright sun-shining day". "Look all around, there's nothing but blue skies / Look straight ahead, there's nothing but blue skies", he sang. Originally recorded by US singer-songwriter Johnny Nash and featured on his 1972 album of the same name, the track was a hit at the time of its release. In 1993, Jimmy Cliff re-recorded the song for the soundtrack to the comedy sports movie Cool Runnings and it reached Number 18 on the US Billboard Hot 100, also topping the charts in France, Iceland and New Zealand. A popular track, "I Can See Clearly Now" has been covered by a number of artists over the years, including Lee Towers, Ray Charles and Josh Groban.

Nice track. I like the fact there are reasonable choices in keys for added flexibility.

wish this and all songs had an ending instead of a fade out, even if the records fade, its better if the tracks don't. thanks
