"Hokus Pokus" is a song by American hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse (ICP), comprised of Joseph Bruce (Violent J) and Joseph Utsler (Shaggy 2 Dope). Released in 1998 as part of their fourth studio album, The Great Milenko, the song was written by Insane Clown Posse with producer Mike E. Clark. Stylistically speaking, "Hokus Pokus" is characterized by a fusion of hip-hop and horrorcore, showcasing ICP's provocative style, mixing macabre themes with humorous, over-the-top carnival elements. Its chorus also interpolates the "Streets of Cairo" melody, also known as the "Arabian riff." Even though the song didn't enter any official charts in the United States, it managed to reach Number 53 on the UK Singles Chart. The Great Milenko, its parent album, peaked at Number 63 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum in the US. A remix titled "Hokus Pokus (Nevins Headhunta'z Mix)" produced by Jason Nevins can be found in the 1998 rarities and B-sides compilation, Forgotten Freshness Volumes 1 & 2.
