"Whore" is a song by Los Angeles-based alternative metal band In This Moment. Released as the third and final single from their 2013 fourth studio album, Blood, the track was written by lead singer Maria Brink, Chris Howorth, Kevin Churko, and Kane Churko. According to Maria Brink, "Whore" is a self-empowerment anthem, a song about claiming back a word that is often used to insult and degrade and give it a more powerful meaning. Shortly after its release as a commercial single on December 17, 2013, "Whore" reached Number 12 on Billboard's US Mainstream Rock Songs chart and Number 48 on the Rock Airplay chart. An accompanying video directed by Robert Kley premiered a few days before the song's release, featuring an appearance by Motionless in White's Chris Motionless. In early 2019, the single was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after achieving sales of over 500,000 copies in the United States.
