"Give Heaven Some Hell" is the second single from alt-country artist Hardy from his debut album, A Rock. The song serves as a farewell to a rebellious friend who passed away too soon. The lyrics imagine his friend continuing to raise hell in heaven. "Make some thunder, make 'em wonder how you got in / Hide your beer, hide your clear from the man upstairs." Hardy calls "Give Heaven Some Hell" one of his favorites, adding, "I just hope this helps anyone that's ever suffered a loss of a loved one. Excited for this song to exist in the world." He wrote the moving tribute with Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson, and Hunter Phelps. The four appear in the video for the song; Johnson is in the coffin.
