"Let It Go" is a song from Disney's animated film Frozen. It is sung by Idina Menzel in her role as Queen Elsa. The song was written by the husband-and-wife songwriting team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. They were asked to create a song for the villain Queen Elsa. After struggling to come up with anything, the two started looking at it from Elsa's point of view. They started seeing her as less of a villain and more of someone who's just unique, a character who’s learning to celebrate her individuality. Disney thought that concept was so powerful that they rewrote Elsa's character to fit the song.
