Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter and musician Faouzia teamed up with John Legend for 2020's pop firecracker, "Minefields," which she co-wrote with Sam Martin, Ali Tamposi, Johnny Goldstein and J Kash. On the song, the pair chart the course of a rocky relationship. "Now this might be a mistake / That I'm calling you this late / But these dreams I have of you ain't real enough," sings Faouzia sings before John Legend joins in with, "Started bringing up the past / How the things you love don't last / Even though this isn't fair for both of us." The pair come together for the chorus. "These minefields that I walk through / What I risk to be close to you / These minefields keeping me from you / What I risk to be close to you / Close to you," they sing in spine-tingling harmony. Released on October 29, 2020, "Minefields" song peaked at Number 45 on the Canadian Billboard Digital Chart.
