Def Leppard broach that jittery Saturday night feeling on their 1981 party-starter "High 'n' Dry (Saturday Night)." Cue: Big riffs, big drinks and even bigger hair. "Saturday, I feel right / I been drinking all day / Yes, I got a date, a midnight ride / I had to get it away," yelps lead singer Joe Elliott on a heavy metal heavyweight. "High 'n' Dry (Saturday Night)" is the title track from the UK metal titans' multi-platinum album High 'n' Dry, which was produced by the esteemed Robert John "Mutt" Lange and reached Number 38 on the Billboard 200 as well as Number 26 on the UK Albums Chart. With its alcohol-themed lyrics and hedonistic, hell-for-leather content, "High 'n' Dry" flew onto the radar of the American Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) – a committee to increase parental control over music deemed explicit – and was placed on the "Filthy Fifteen" list of songs.
