One of the most memorable and instantly recognizable songs in the Disney universe, the piano-driven soft rock ballad "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" was written by English pop legend Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice for the 1994 animated blockbuster The Lion King. The song was played over the film's end credits and was later released as a commercial single, reaching Number 14 on the Official UK Singles Chart and Number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also won Best Original Song at the 1995 Academy Awards and earned Elton John a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. More than two decades later, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" was performed by the cast of the 2019 remake of The Lion King, which included Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, and Billy Eichner. That year, the Florida-based cover band Boyce Avenue offered a stripped-down rendition of the classic track featuring English singer-songwriter Connie Talbot.
