Carly Rae Jepsen’s outrageously catchy, candy-sweet dance-pop confection, Call Me Maybe," is one of the biggest pop songs of the 2010s. However, it never set out to be the force of nature that we all love to hate. In fact, songwriters Carly Rae Jepsen and Tavish Crowe originally intended "Call Me Maybe" to be born as a folk song, but thankfully producer Josh Ramsay stepped in to take the track to its outrageous sugary pop heights. Unsurprisingly, with its unforgettable chorus (“Hey, I just met you and this is crazy / But here's my number, so call me, maybe / It's hard to look right at you, baby / But here's my number, so call me, maybe"), "Call Me Maybe" shot to Number 1 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart and marked the first chart-topper by a Canadian female artist on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" in 2007. The track was also nominated for two Grammy Awards – Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance – at the 55th Annual ceremony in 2013.

This is one of the best recorded tracks yet from Karaoke Version. Love the instrumentation and mix - quite faithful to the original. Well done - love this one!
