Written by Australian singer-songwriter Sia along with producers Benny Blanco and StarGate, “Diamonds” is a mid-tempo, keyboard-based pop ballad celebrating the relationship between two lovers. The song was a huge hit, topping charts in over twenty countries and becoming Rihanna’s twelfth Number 1 single (peaking at Number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100). “Diamonds” went on to be certified sextuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling over 3.5 million copies in the US and 7.5 million copies worldwide. “Diamonds” was awarded Top R&B Song at the 2013 Billboard awards ceremony.
