Brantley Gilbert has carved a niche for himself as a southern country singer with a classic rock heart. He rose to fame in the early 2010s with his debut album, A Modern Day Prodigal Son—released via independent label Average Joes Entertainment—and followed it up with Halfway to Heaven in 2010, which spawned a country chart-topper in "Country Must Be Country Wide." One of the standout tracks on this second LP—sandwiched in between the twangy southern traditionalism of "Them Boys" and "Dirt Road Anthem" featuring Colt Ford—is swooning country-rock ballad "Fall into Me," which focuses on the act of falling in love. "So fall when you're ready baby / Let our kiss count the moments and hearts set the pace / I'll be your love song and I'll love you right off your feet / Until you fall into me," he croons. Halfway to Heaven went to number two on the US country chart and was later certified platinum.
