Boz Scaggs was nearly three decades into his solo career when he recorded "T-Bone Shuffle." The Grammy-winning bluesman, whose work traversed rock, jazz, R&B, blue-eyed soul, and even early disco (1976 best-seller Silk Degrees) cut his teeth as a guitarist with the Steve Miller Band in the 1960s, before branching out on his own in 1969. The 1970s were characterised by a scattering of huge hits, including two lifted from the aforementioned LP, "Lido Shuffle" and "Lowdown," while his recorded input remained light during the 1980s. However, in 1997 he proved he could still light the blues on fire with this track from his Come on Home album released that year.
