In 1996, American singer Barbra Streisand made a comeback with the Bryan Adams duet, "I Finally Found Someone," her biggest hit on the US charts since the 1980s. The song was featured in the soundtrack of her movie The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996) and also received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song, her second one after 1977's "Evergreen." Written by Barbra Streisand, Bryan Adams with legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch and producer "Mutt" Lange, "the power ballad I Finally Found Someone" serves as the main love theme for the film, which features the singer as Rose Morgan-Larkin and Jeff Bridges in the role of Gregory Larkin. Shortly after its release as a single, the track reached Number 2 on the US Adult Contemporary chart and peaked at Number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning Barbra Streisand her first Top 10 hit since 1981. It was also included in several reissues of Bryan Adams' seventh studio album 18 Til I Die.
