Written by Barbra Streisand, Bryan Adams with legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch and producer "Mutt" Lange, "the power ballad I Finally Found Someone" serves as the main love theme for the film, which features the singer as Rose Morgan-Larkin and Jeff Bridges in the role of Gregory Larkin. Shortly after its release as a single, the track reached Number 2 on the US Adult Contemporary chart and peaked at Number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning Barbra Streisand her first Top 10 hit since 1981. It was also included in several reissues of Bryan Adams' seventh studio album 18 Til I Die.
