A two-part song, first part "Fairytale Life (The Wish)" plots the moment in the film when Giselle, at a tough point in her relationship with Morgan, yearns for the magic of a 'fairytale life' and is prompted to make a wish using the wand given to Sofia by Edward and Nancy. The second part of "Fairytale Life," subtitled "After the Spell," appears after the wish has been granted. The soundtrack for Disenchanted saw composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz return for a collection of original songs brought to life by the cast's members, including Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Maya Rudolph, and more.
