On their 2009 track “Have Faith in Me,” the Florida band A Day to Remember take an uncompromising approach to music-making, building a dynamic and rambunctious Blink-182-style pop-punk slammer from a military-style drum roll, sparkling guitars, and explosive livewire vocals. Tough image aside, "Have Faith in Me" is a sentimental song with a resilient message about trusting people and keeping faith when things get rough. A Day to Remember vocalist and founding member Jeremy McKinnon also took inspiration for the song from his mother. "Have Faith in Me" was released as a single from the band's third studio album Homesick—their second LP for Chicago-based label Victory, which was certified Silver in the UK by the BPI in 2015, and Gold in the United States the following year—and gave the band their first charting single on a Billboard chart, reaching number 40 on the Alternative Songs chart.
