"Doubleback" is a song from ZZ Top. This hard-driving blues-rocker was used in the film Back to the Future Part III. The guys had a cameo in the film, performing a countrified version of "Doubleback" but the original version was played during the ending credits and was included on the soundtrack. The production follows the synthesizer-infused style they originated in the 80s. The song stayed at #1 for five weeks on the Album Rock chart. The accompanying video featured clips from the film. Although ZZ Top was unlike most of the 80s pop or new wave acts on MTV, their musicianship, songs, and humor made them a music video favorite.
