"I May Be Used (But I'm Not Used Up)," sings the voice of outlaw country heavyweight Waylon Jennings on this cut from his 1983 duets album Waylon and Company. A bar room classic, "I May Be Used (But I'm Not Used Up)" was released as the LP's third single and paints the portrait of a young woman who's found herself at a bar filled with a motley crew of men. The track was written by Bob McDill and was a number four hit for Waylon Jennings in 1984, released hot on the heels of Waylon and Company, which featured guest spots from the likes of Hank Williams, Jr., Jessi Colter, Willie Nelson, honky-tonk figurehead Ernest Tubb—poignantly containing his last recorded performance ("Leave Them Boys Alone") before he died from emphysema—Ern Mel Tillis, and actor James Garner. The LP reached number 12 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and also spawned a country chart-topper in "Just to Satisfy You," a duet with Willie Nelson.
