"Take a Hint" is one of the many razor-sharp anthems produced by teen musical sitcom Victorious, which was created by Dan Schneider and aired on Nickelodeon from 2010–13. A sassy electro-pop banger, "Take a Hint" is performed by protagonists Tori Vega (Victoria Justice) and her rival Jade West (Elizabeth Gillies) in the episode "Tori and Jade's Playdate," from season 3 (March 2012) of the series. The song finds the pair addressing unwanted male attention.
