"Ninja Rap" is a song by Vanilla Ice from the 1991 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. The rapper, born Robert Van Winkle, was asked to write a rap song for the sequel to the first Teenage Mutant Ninja film. He came up with the catchy anthem in 30 minutes, working on an old school drum machine in his hotel room. With the infectious chant of "Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go!" the song was pure pop perfection. In an interview with GQ in 2016, Van Winkle joked that he used his secret ninja powers to create the song and added, "Oh, and don't come here and tell us that you didn't bust a move to it, because we all know you're lying." The song has become a favorite of Insane Clown Posse fans, typically called Juggalos but sometimes referred to as Ninjas. "Ninja Rap" has grown in popularity as a second generation of young people are watching the TMNT films on streaming services with their parents.
The backing track for "Ninja Rap" is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.
