"The Devil Went Down to Jamaica" is a song by Travis Meyer. The song is a parody of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels Band. The original song, released in 1979, tells the story of a young Georgian fiddler named Johnny who accepts the devil's challenge to a fiddle battle for his soul. The song was a huge hit and is now considered a country classic. In this parody, Johnny is a Jamaican drug dealer who is challenged by the devil to find out who has the best pot. The fiddle duel in the original song has been replaced by post-pot inhaling coughing battle. "He filled that chamber all the way and he took a mighty hit / And as they passed it back and forth it gave them both a coughing fit." Not much can be found online about Meyer. He may be hanging in Jamaica with a guy named Johnny.
The backing track for "The Devil Went Down to Jamaica" is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.
